What an Irony!

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Martin Luther King. Jr.
For some vague reason, Bahria University notified that male and female students should sit separately in classes. Not only this but the notification issued by the university registrar dated August 30, students should be discouraged for the formation of groups for academic work with both male and female members. The notification also wants the university administration to immobilize the students from one building to another in the university. In order to achieve that, the university has decided to abolish breaks available to students between classes. A directive to increase the academic workload of students has also been issued to staff.
The notification seems to be a representation of gender segregation. People have been taking it as an offense as they think it is going to be a barrier in the progression of a society. The notification has been shared widely on the social networking platform Twitter & the people are mocking the loudmouthed attempt at gender segregation and calling out the university administration for biased policies. Such a directive clearly shows that though we are living in 21st century but our society is still male chauvinist society. Taking such initiative is a slap on the face of society.
