Islamabad Taste Food Festival was FUN

Capital is a place inhabited by food lovers. How would you feel when you find out one ultimate platform presenting variety of food outlets? How often does it raise your appetite when you are surrounded by aroma full of spices and ambiance? Yeah, it feels so good when you find a single platform for ultimate fun.

The three-day mega event titled “Islamabad Taste Food Festival” took place on March 8th, 9th and 10th at Convention center, Islamabad. The core aim was to give chance to well-reputed food restaurants to promote their scrumptious food. It was an exciting opportunity for people to experience a variety of luscious food on single platform.

On Women’s day, they offered free entry passes to first 500 women and technically that was the first day of event. Luckily, I got the chance to make it through. The food festival was basically the event of food comprising of more than 80 food stalls.

Well, I’m a big foodie and I love trying new exciting flavors of food. I tasted so many scrumptious food items but I’ll share the best ones with you.

Angara Biriyani. I started with the most wanted biryani of these days. It was beautifully served in small makta along with flavorful spices for PKR 175, which was worth the money.

Rancher’s. The deal offered by them was ideal, any burger at a prize of PKR 350. So, I tried “Big Bang” by
taking advantage of that amazing deal. “Frizza”, is probably the best thing in their entire menu and always my favorite, by just PKR 150.

Sweet Waffle. No food is complete without a desert. I tried sweet waffle by “The Waffle House” and it was super delicious. Although, it was being served in haste but they didn’t compromise on the quality of food and it was definitely worth a try.

Dewanakhas. The best of the barbeque items was presented by “Dewanakhas”. I started with delicious “Mutton Afghani Chomp”. The chutney and salad with the chomp complimented it. The flavorful spices added to the barbeque were just the right quantity. Luckily, I had some space left for “Aghangi Palao”.

Live Cooking Shows
The event was generally about food and they adopted the best strategy of attracting people by giving live cooking classes. Chef Thomas and Chef Mario (International master chefs) taught the art of making sushi. Live sushi classes ignited the interest of people attending the event.

Live Musical Concert
Musical bands added ignited the event by adding more fun to it and famous musical bands performed three days including Khumariyaan, Bakshi Brothers and Jal the band.

Overall, it was fun filled and an entertaining event for the people of twin cities where they enjoyed food and music. The event turned out to be success and it was wonderful organized by the team of Islamabad Eat.
