Islamabadians! Be Alert

Everyone residing in Islamabad, please be alert.

I was crossing Tabaaq hotel and I saw a man lying down on footpath unconscious.

Wanting to help him, I stopped the car but got a gut feeling that it might be tactic to counter people. I sat in the car, started driving slowly on Fazl-e-Haq road and called police and Rescue 1122.

After five minutes, I got a call from Aabpara Police station and with them, Rescue 1122 team was present and there was no trace of anyone there.

Safe City camera saw the man get up and leave after seeing no automobile approaching him. In a similar incident, my friend was crossing Faisal avenue signal that leads to Missile chowk f-10 and connects G-9 on the left side.

A woman came on the road, yelling at them to stop the vehicle. They did not stop, but after contacting the local police station. We were informed that 3 cases have been reported in sector g-8, where a man was lying down on the footpath and a woman stopping people for help. Mobile snatchers have found a new way to mug people.

We both didn’t stop at different locations, might make us sound selfish. But given the amount of street crime increasing in Islamabad, sometimes taking precautionary action is necessary.
